                Alien is a 1979 science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott and starring Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm and Yaphet Kotto. The film's title refers to its primary antagonist: a highly aggressive extraterrestrial creature which stalks and kills the crew of a spaceship. Dan O'Bannon wrote the screenplay from a story by him and Ronald Shusett, drawing influence from previous works of science fiction and horror. The film was produced through Brandywine Productions and distributed by 20th Century Fox, with producers David Giler and Walter Hill making significant revisions and additions to the script. The titular Alien and its accompanying elements were designed by Swiss surrealist artist H. R. Giger, while concept artists Ron Cobb and Chris Foss designed the human aspects of the film.

Alien garnered both critical acclaim and box office success, receiving an Academy Award for Best Visual Effects,^[4] Saturn Awards for Best Science Fiction Film, Best Direction for Scott, and Best Supporting Actress for Cartwright,^[5] and a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation, along with numerous other award nominations.^[6] It has remained highly praised in subsequent decades, being inducted into the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress in 2002 for historical preservation as a film which is "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".^[6][7][8] In 2008 it was ranked as the seventh-best film in the science fiction genre by the American Film Institute, and as the thirty-third greatest movie of all time by Empire magazine.

Honda was the first Japanese automobile manufacturer to release a dedicated luxury brand, Acura, in 1986. Aside from their core automobile and motorcycle businesses, Honda also manufactures garden equipment, marine engines, personal watercraft and power generators, amongst others. Since 1986, Honda has been involved with artificial intelligence/robotics research and released their ASIMO robot in 2000. They have also ventured into aerospace with the establishment of GE Honda Aero Engines in 2004 and the Honda HA-420 HondaJet, scheduled to be released in 2011. Honda spends about 5% of its revenues into R&D.

                                                      Superkomputer Tercepat di Dunia 

- China secara resmi mencatatkan diri sebagai negara yang memiliki superkomputer tercepat di dunia. Ini adalah kali pertama superkomputer buatan China masuk daftar peringkat pertama superkomputer tercepat dunia yang dirilis situs web www.top500.com dan mengalahkan superkomputer-superkomputer buatan Amerika Serikat.

Tianhe-1 atau berarti Bima Sakti, nama superkomputer yang dibangun di National Supercomputing Centre di Tianjin, melampaui kecepatan hingga 2,570 petaflop atau triliun kalkulasi per detik. Di urutan kedua terdapat Jaguar, superkomputer milik Pemerintah AS di Tennessee dengan 1,750 petaflop.

Tidak hanya satu superkomputer China yang unjuk gigi. Di urutan ketiga pun terdapat superkomputer milik China, yakni Nebulae, di National Supercomputing Centre di Shenzhen. Superkomputer buatan ASmemang masih mendominasi daftar tersebut. Dari 500 unit, lebih dari setengah berada di AS. China mencatat 42 unit dan melampaui jumlah superkomputer Jepang, Perancis, Jerman, dan Inggris. Namun, superkomputer-superkomputer di China menggunakan cip buatan perusahaan AS, antara lain Nvidia.
Sebagai informasi, pengumuman daftar 500 superkomputer tercepat dilakukan rutin dua kali setahun. Penilaian berdasarkan kecepatan yang dicapai dengan tes benchmark ini dirancang ahli Jerman dan Amerika. Bukan kali pertama superkomputer Amerika dikalahkan negara Asia karena pada tahun 2002, Jepang pernah melakukannya.
